About Us

Our Story

My husband told me I could have sheep if i could pay for them. I began spinning 20 plus years ago, and traveled to the Maryland sheep and wool show where I became inspired to begin needle felting. The next year I entered a bobcat sculpture in the fine art competition. She took best in show out of 500 entries. Since then I have shown my art in several galleries and art venues including Vogue knitting live events.

We encourage the growth of many different plants and grasses and native grasses suitable for livestock. In separate areas we also raise beneficial herbal plants for dried teas and tinctures, bug sprays or additives for soap. We believe in "looking our food in the face" and that all animals deserve to live the way they are best suited. Cows help the soil microbiome and the parasites that live in them don't do as well inside a sheep and visa versa. All of the animals here fit a need and are given the opportunity to live as naturally as possible.
